My crazy cat Muffin

She is wild she is like a ninja she is … Muffin. Her soft tabby fur makes her the cuddliest thing ever. She has a spotty white underbelly and her knife like claws are drawn 24/7. Her sparkly eyes have changed colour since she has been born. From sparkly blue too emerald green too oaky brown.

Muffin is pretty much always awake except for the times when she’s asleep on me. From the moment she gets up to the moment she goes to sleep she acts like a person. When everyone’s up and moving around she’s up and moving around when everyone’s sitting down or sleeping she’s doing those things.

Muffin and I like to do all sorts of things like climb vast trees & play monster chess. Monster chess is when I set up a chess battle and she destroys it. I also like to dangle a piece of string in the air for her to chase. We also like to watch T.V together & play video games together.

My Dog BERT!

No dog could be better than my dog Bert with crystal brown eyes. His scruffy fur is like a ripped pillow. He runs like the wind through the waving grass.

My dog is full with personality like hilariousness. One night he came into my room and stopped and then burped and then walked away! My dog can jump up high as my arm! Bert is cute when he goes to sleep because he curls up in a ball and stretchers out. Bert is sooooo energetic in the day he is so crazy he runs around the deck and starts to jump up and down!

Bert and I are exstremling happy when we are together. We love to run and play with a ball on the deck. I hide then jump out and then Bert goes even faster! Bert loves walks, nothing can stop Bert having a walk. When Bert and I play soccer it’s not outstanding because Bert bites the ball but its great the ball hasn’t popped yet. Now Bert has his own ball that Is munted. I love my dog.

My Special Sister

I am very lucky to have a sister like Sophie. She has silky soft short hair which glints in the sunlight. Sophie has light brown eyes that are so beautiful it’s like I can see a melting chocolate cake in them. She is pretty tall for her age. She usually wears dresses and skirts. She is quite skinny.      

Beautiful is no word to describe Sophie’s personality. She is so creative that, every day she draws a picture for someone. When Sophie laughs she wobbles like a raspberry jelly. Sophie is also very caring; she makes sure everyone is included when playing a game. Sophie is very flexible and she is also very intelligent.

Bouncing and toppling over one another on the tramp is one of our favourite things to do together. Sophie bounds up and down yelling “I can touch the sky!” then giggles uncontrollably. Sophie loves giggling. We also do gymnastics; we make shows for our parents. We make Afghans with Mum too. Oh, how I love having a sister like Sophie.

My Cat Pukie

When I see Pocky’s face I feel as lucky as a person who has won the lotto. Her soft green eyes are like two diamonds reflecting in the light. Her black, ginger, white and brown fur is as soft as a white fluffy cloud. Her thin bendy whiskers are as long as a small twig.

Pocky has the best personality out of all cats. Pocky is very lazy because she is always the last one to get up. She is very crazy. Sometimes she wanders around the house poking her tongue out. She also rolls down a small hill at our house trying to catch her tail. Pocky is sometimes a bit feisty. When we pick her up she tries to scratch us and when we pat her and then take our hand away she sometimes tries to grab it. She has the best personality out of all cats.

Pocky and I like listening to music together. When Pocky wants to listen to music she jumps up on to my CD player. Then she leaps up on to my bed which opens the CD player. I turn it on and she flops down on to the bed. Playing with me is also one of her favourite things to do. Sometimes when I run down the hill she dashes after me. Pocky is lots of fun!

Great Grace

GREAT GRACE

“Grace, Grace! Oh hi, I’m Elle and today I’m going to tell you about my dog, Grace. She has deep amber eyes  that  take  the breath out of me ,her smile is more beautiful  than the sun, it seems to light me  up with  happiness. No, more than happiness, there aren’t enough words in the world to describe it. And her fur oh, her fur! Its like melted chocolate in the boiling sun. Its softer than the fluffy clouds floating  lazily across the never ending sky. Oh, yes I love my beautiful, bouncing dog. When her tail wags its like she’s conducting an orchestra. 

Now, can I take you back to the time were my sweet little puppy first heard the fire alarm … when it started  she stared around looking for this strange new sound then, suddenly she started howling trying to imitate it. Oh, wouldn’t you laugh if you heard her. Sometimes I think she’s the funniest dog in the world. Grace would greet anyone unless I was home in that case she would bark the place down. Another thing she’s protective of is her toys and she always loves a good game of tug -a –war. Grace can sometimes be mischievous and has chewed a few socks (or hair ties) in her time but she is a very good dog and I’m lucky to have her. She has a stunning personality and is always fun to be around. She is also very clever and I’ll love her to the end. oh, no I wouldn’t sell  MY  dog for anything.

Something I adore to do is sit among the millions of daisies in my back yard, Gracie’s rusty pink tongue swiping soothingly across my face. Later on, when the day is tired and the sky is pink she snuggles down on my lap like a brown blanket (a very heavy one!), BUT if she’s restless and she’s not allowed outside (because of the rain)to tear the front mat or bite the outside furniture she and dad play fight, with no words to describe that I will carry on to our river rush game were we swim together in the river, throwing sticks over the muddy seaweed into the deep water further on. At night, when its time for bed she comes in to bark goodnight I read her stories and soon snuggle tight. Even if she  has chewed mats in her past I would  NEVER  EVER  sell my dog.   SHE WAS THE BEST CRISTMAS PRESENT EVER!!                    By Elle.

Polly perseveres at pretty much everything. Like when she wants to come inside she scratches on the door till I let her in. She is also very playful and likes to play with her bouncy ball.

Playing fetch is something we like to do together on our front lawn. Her new ball is her favourite. One of my favourite things to do is pet her. She likes me to massage her ears. We also like to go for walks together in the park. Polly really likes to play chase up and down the driveway.

 Beauty can never be as pretty as my Nana. She’s got healthy skin. She’s a glimmering touch. No one in the world is as pretty as my wonderful beautiful Nana. She wakes up and she wonderfully shines in the sun. She has got lots of talent in   her bones. She works very hard to get things done. She does a lot for me. She cares about me but that’s not the only thing that makes her special it’s her personality. My nana and I love to explore the garden we explore the garden because we want to know what’s in the garden when we are not looking. On Friday we found this beautiful flower sitting in its pot waiting for water. We smelled the flower and it smelled like passion fruit covered with rosy flowers I love my Nana so much because she’s the best thing that has happened to me.

My Mum

Let me tell you about the best and the most superb mum in the world. She has kind eyes like a little puppy and straight blond hair. She is average height and as fit as a cheetah. My mum is soooooooo extraordinarily fun because when we go to the water fall near Waimarama she always lets us swim there.  She is also really cuddly because almost every night she cuddles me. She is also caring because if I have a nightmare she always comforts me. Mum and I do a lot of things together she plays games with me, she drives me to activities, we sometimes cook together, and mum sometimes reads to me.  Gardening is one of mum’s talents. She yanks out weeds and plants plants (except mowing is dad’s thing.)I adore my mum.

My cousin is the most beautiful one I have. He has crystal clear blue eyes. They are the colour of the beautiful clear ocean. His expression is cuter then the sun. My cousin is such a fun little toddler. He makes me play with his cars and even sometimes he throws his cars everywhere. Joel is such an outdoor person he likes to play on the swings. He loves going to the park and going down the slides. When he goes swimming he goes in a bit. Joel is so kind. He’s my kindest cousin!

Me and my cousin do the most extraordinary things. I adore my cousin precious. Swimming is what me and Joel love doing. Walking is another thing we like doing we walk to the bakery and the supermarket. We love going for scooter rides at the new bike park. One of our favorite things is to eat scrumpshes  gooey chocolate. We also love chocolate ice cream with sprinkles on top we love reading stories they are fascinating.

Vroom! Is it a car is it a cheetah no its Poly! Poly is very energetic and likes to swim. She is always thirsty and bouncy. Poly hates to have a bath. She is very brave. She went for a bullterriers neck. She is very playful. She is always barking and yapping.

We play hide and seek. I hide and she tries to find me. We also play ball. I bounce it and she tries to catch it. We like to swim together and Poly wets everyone. We chase each other round the house. Awesome is no word to describe my grandad.  His hair stands up like a TV wire. I have never seen his eyes because he always squints. He also has fiery red skin.  

My grandad is so fun to be with.  Once he nailed his foot to the roof with a nail gun. His mates had to cut him out. He wears dirty clothes.

Grandad and I do a lot or things together. The thing we do most is fixings things. Once he and I used my dad’s blow torch to bend some guttering to make it fit at our house. We also cut wood together.  When we got to Arthurs pass we both cut up all the branches he brought up with him. We used the large round blade that is very loud.

My Special Person Gramps

My Gramps is the best Gramps in the universe. He’s got hair as grey as smoke and eyes as blue as the sea. He’s quite short but as strong as a wrestler. He can see all right but he wears glasses. His teeth are as white as a sheet of paper.

Gramps personality is great. Whenever I go to his place and it’s as cold as the Atlantic Ocean he will throw money in his ice cold pool and I would dive in like a hungry shark to get the money. Then he would make     us run around his mansion until I dry off but sometimes I cheat by going down the flying fox. Gramps adores sport but his favorite sport is cricket because there is lots of tactics and action.

A thing that we love doing together is Chess because we are about even so every time we play we have a splendid game. Building is a anther thing we do together ones we made a really cool sled so we could slide down his big grass hill instead of using cardboard. But sadly he’s moved to England.

I would like to tell you all about my dog Percy. Percy has brown, silky and soft fur and big floppy ears. Percy is not a big dog but he is not small either. He has skinny legs and small paws. He has a hairy tail and a long wet rubbery nose.

Percy is the best dog I’ve ever met. He has a routine and he almost does the same things every day. He is very brave and energetic. Sometimes he shows off and he is very playful. Percy loves sticks and dog treats more than anything else. Percy’s always happy and also silly in a good way. He’s really friendly as well.

Percy is a really awesome dog. Me and Percy always go for swims and walks together. I like to rub his tummy when he is rolling around on the ground. He likes it too. Me and Percy go to the beach and go boogie boarding together. He stands up on my dad’s boogie board and I lie down on mine like you’re supposed to. Percy is very good at surfing. Sk8 zone is my local skate park that I go to almost every day to ride my scooter and learn new tricks. On the weekends I take Percy inside sk8 zone and he like to watch every one. We also go for walks.

   My Best Friend More Like Sister!

Since I was nine months old the most amazing thing happened I met my soul mate the most amazing person on earth. I love her to bits. She has blue eyes like the surf, her hair as blonde as pastry from her favorite mince pie. The biggest smile makes my day. She where’s a lot of things from just jeans with a lot of cool patens. Her name is Annabel    

Annabel is such fun. She loves animal’s tennis and sports. She is so kind I love the way she is always smiling. She really makes be happy. Her jokes are funny and she has a  fun attitude. She is very helpful.

Annabel and I enjoy making video stars together. We love going to town together. We both love mince and cheese pie yum! Every time we go to town that’s what we eat. We also love going to the movies we only really talk the whole time though. Annabel and I do a lot more things together I could go on but I would be here forever.

You cannot believe how happy my cat Ocean looks when I come home from school. She runs up to me with her monstrous playful smile and her titanium white paws pounding against the ground. Her deep ancient eyes staring at me. She has sharp crystal claws. In winter she has a big fat cuddly tummy.

Ocean has an amazingly brave personality. She scares away enormous dogs, tomcats and she’s a brilliant hunter. Not only curios but very silly as well she still hasn't gotten out of the habit of chasing her tail and fighting with mirrors. She is violently playful every morning she jumps up on my bed and rips up my hands.

Ocean is so much fun we do so many things together. Ocean and I love video games. We sit side by side and I go on my PSP when she plays cat games on the iPad. She gets sucked into the game forgetting everything else in the real world, chasing the fish along the screen. Play fighting is the one thing that Ocean adores doing but sometimes I think she forgets we’re PLAY fighting. Then she switches into hunting mode as she pounces onto my hand she has an overjoyed smile on her face. Most mornings Ocean and Ruby (Mums cat) eat breakfast together but sometimes Ocean is a bit timid and panicky around Ruby so she sticks with me. But sometimes yes we do get angry with each other so I put her outside in the corner of shame. Then I feel guilty and let her inside again.

My Cute Cuddly Kitty Cat Ziggy

My cute cuddly kitty cat is the cutest cuddliest kitty cat that I know.  The tips of her fur are as sparkling as miniaturised galaxies.  Her eyes are ferocious as a mighty lions when unsheathed.  Her fur is as grey as shadows so in the night she’s practically invisible.

Ziggy likes to chat and have a pat which are 2 good things but the 1 problem is that she likes to sleep on my face when I’m trying to get to sleep.   But when I push her off she paws and scratches my face until I pat her.   She is always trying to catch something like a bird a mouse or a stick with feathers on the end.   Water is an arch enemy to her.  One drop and she will Zip outside but for some reason she doesn’t mind the rain.

Chasing Lego on the end of a long string is one of her favourite fun things to do.  She is a playful cat for example when she’s bored if I rustle a plastic bag she whacks it, gets inside it and things like that.  As you most probably already know cats love sleeping but Ziggy is annoying when it comes to sleeping.  She sleeps through most of the day and then late at night she wakes me up by scratching my face until she gets bored and goes to sleep.   In the weekend when I’m bored Ziggy and I lie on the drive way and roll around in the sun until I get bored or the neighbour’s cat comes around and disturbs us and Ziggy starts hissing and I chase the neighbour’s cat away.  Ziggy likes TV.  But when our family got an Irish wolfhound that changed because Ziggy is scared of him because well Eddie our Irish wolfhound is basically really big so most cats would be pretty scared of him.   Anyway when she did watch TV she used to paw the screen if a person’s face was on the TV she would paw and meow at it but when someone’s face wasn’t she would keep an eye on the TV and sit on my lap and we would watch TV.  But she doesn’t watch it anymore because Eddie sleeps in there when our family watch’s TV so Ziggy can’t because she is scared of the dog so she just sleeps in my room or goes outside.

At camp I learned

At Camp I Learned…

Something I really enjoyed learning about at camp was learning to ride a horse. To get a horse ready to ride you need to first brush the horse down with a brush so it

Doesn’t get any bugs caught under its saddle. Before you put on the saddle you need to put on an item called a saddle blanket. The reason you need to put on a saddle blanket is so that the saddle doesn’t rub against the horses’ coat. After you have put on the saddle blanket you put on the saddle. After the saddle is on you put on the girth which holds down the saddle. Now you are ready to ride.

Now to riding. Believe it or not, it’s not like on those cowboy films where you just slam the reins into the horses’ neck. To make a horse move you gently kick the horses’ side. (Not too gently though because they are large animals) Then to bring a horse to a halt you pull back on the reins. Don’t do it too gently otherwise they won’t stop. So the horse doesn’t go into reverse you will need to loosen the reins a little bit.

Now that you know the basics I’ll tell you how to speed the horse up to a gallop. To speed the horse to a gallop you still kick its side but a bit harder this time.
